Brighten up a baby's room with this fun "Flower Child" crib quilt pattern combining clam shells and flying geese. The center of the clam shells is perfect for highlighting a few great large floral and geometric patterns.
The cover quilt was designed around Kaffe Fasset's Brocade Peony in Aqua from the Kaffe Collection III. We pulled two geometrics, 2 tone on tone greens in different shades, a blue polka dot and the white background to coordinate with the colors in the flowers. Minky on the back gives it a soft, warm touch. We had it quilted in an all over swirling pattern to complement the circles in the clam shells. The finished size is 36" x 48", which will fit a standard crib. I would recommend this quilt pattern to the confident beginner to intermediate level and above because you need a knowledge of appliqué.
