Welcome to the final stop on our Dresden Carnival Blog Hop! I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects and reviews and commented on each one to win a copy of our new book.
As you may have read in my mom's blog on Pink Hippo Quilts, our love of Dresdens runs deep as we both have a treasured Dresden quilt made by my grams, my mom's mother, Esther Howard. When deciding on a theme to present to Stash Books for a book, we kept coming back to the Dresden. So we decided to take this classic block and see how many unique variations we could come up with to reinvent the Dresden and present it in a modern way. I'm so ecstatic about how these quilts and the book have turned out! There is so much variety in design and different techniques that I know there is a quilt (or three!) for every level and style of quilter.
I was especially happy to get to put my own fabric line, Fontaine by P&B Textiles, into two of the quilts. Below are the Ferris Wheel Quilt and Carousel Table Topper. I gave them an Art Deco, vintage modern influence to go with the fabric line and did a deconstructed Dresden medallion in the center.
My other favorite that I designed is the Lily Pad Quilt. I love more modern and geometric designs, so I wanted to create a Dresden that felt fresh and current.
Comment below about your most treasured quilt for the chance to win your own copy of Dresden Carnival. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 2nd here on the blog. An international winner will receive an ebook, while a US winner will receive a hard copy.
UPDATE: Congratulations to Janet T., the winner of our Dresden Carnival Giveaway!

I'm so excited to announce the release of my first quilt book "Dresden Carnival" that I co-authored with Marian Gallian of Pink Hippo Quilts! It's been 2 years of hard work and lots of fun since we first submitted the proposal to C&T Publishing and we are looking forward to its release in April of 2016.
Our book is a parade of modern Dresden quilts, packed with playful color choices, all-new layouts, and exciting borders. Peruse 16 projects, 4 bonus variations, and 5 alternate colorways for creativity that knows no bounds! Basic needle-turn techniques are included, and patterns range from beginner-friendly to more advanced. Take a vintage favorite and infuse it with pizazz. These truly innovative Dresden blocks will become heirlooms for the next generation.

I'm very excited to announce that I will be co-authoring a quilting book with my talented mom, Marian Gallian of Pink Hippo Quilts, through C&T Publishing Stash Books! I wish I could share more, but it's all under wraps until its debut at Spring Quilt Market in 2016. But we will be hard at work making all the beautiful quilts, writing and working with these amazing editors and designers in the mean time.
