Welcome to the final stop on our Dresden Carnival Blog Hop! I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects and reviews and commented on each one to win a copy of our new book.

As you may have read in my mom's blog on Pink Hippo Quilts, our love of Dresdens runs deep as we both have a treasured Dresden quilt made by my grams, my mom's mother, Esther Howard. When deciding on a theme to present to Stash Books for a book, we kept coming back to the Dresden. So we decided to take this classic block and see how many unique variations we could come up with to reinvent the Dresden and present it in a modern way. I'm so ecstatic about how these quilts and the book have turned out! There is so much variety in design and different techniques that I know there is a quilt (or three!) for every level and style of quilter.

I was especially happy to get to put my own fabric line, Fontaine by P&B Textiles, into two of the quilts. Below are the Ferris Wheel Quilt and Carousel Table Topper. I gave them an Art Deco, vintage modern influence to go with the fabric line and did a deconstructed Dresden medallion in the center.

My other favorite that I designed is the Lily Pad Quilt. I love more modern and geometric designs, so I wanted to create a Dresden that felt fresh and current.

Dresden Carnival Quilt Book
I'm so excited to announce the release of my first quilt book "Dresden Carnival" that I co-authored with Marian Gallian of Pink Hippo Quilts! It's been 2 years of hard work and lots of fun since we first submitted the proposal to C&T Publishing and we are looking forward to its release in April of 2016.

Our book is a parade of modern Dresden quilts, packed with playful color choices, all-new layouts, and exciting borders. Peruse 16 projects, 4 bonus variations, and 5 alternate colorways for creativity that knows no bounds! Basic needle-turn techniques are included, and patterns range from beginner-friendly to more advanced. Take a vintage favorite and infuse it with pizazz. These truly innovative Dresden blocks will become heirlooms for the next generation.

I've just released two new quilt patterns in my online shop!

The first is "Resonate" which is a modern appliqué quilt that mimics sound waves echoing off into the distance. This is a great quilt to play with color or use scraps from your stash!  The cover quilt is shown with the fabric Jewels by Lizzie House from Andover Fabrics.

The second is a crib size quilt called "Zoo Baby" that uses a clamshell motif and flying geese. Great design for highlighting some of your favorite fabrics! The cover quilt uses the #babychic fabric line by Firetrail Designs from Andover Fabrics.

Please contact me for wholesale pricing if you are a quilting or fabric shop who is interested in carrying my line of quilting, sewing or embroidery patterns.

PictureBlushing Blooms Free Quilt Pattern for Fontaine
My fabric collection Fontaine is now available for pre-order from P&B Textiles. I designed this beautiful  quilt pattern "Blushing Blooms" for P&B Textiles to feature my new fabric collection. The quilt pattern is free to download from their website here or you can view it on the Vetmari site here.

You can also view this quilt at P&B Textiles booth at Fall Quilt Market in Houston later this month. Stop by booths #1356 & 1361 to see Fontaine and Blushing Blooms in person and pick up your free copy of the printed pattern.

This fabric collection was designed with a romantic Art Deco influence that I also reflected in the quilt design.  Fabric will be available starting in January, so put this gorgeous quilt on your to do list! If you do make it, please send me a pic or tag @vetmari in instagram with the hashtag #fontaine. Happy quilting!

Windmills and Wildflowers Quilt Pattern
The “Field Day” fabric collection by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics has just hit the stores and I am excited to share my quilt pattern “Windmills and Wildflowers” featuring Alison’s “Field Day” and “Pearl Bracelets”  by Lizzy House. This is a remake of my Arabella Rose pattern. This dynamic quilt has both piecing and appliqué techniques and is suitable for the intermediate quilter.

Please visit PinkHippoQuilts.com to order “Windmills and Wildflowers” and see my other quilt patterns licensed through Pink Hippo. They accept both retail and wholesale inquiries.

Cadence Quilt at Spring Quilt MarketPhoto courtesy of Daryl Cohen of Andover Fabrics.
Although I was unable to attend Spring Quilt Market in Pittsburgh this past week, I was there in spirit represented by my Cadence quilt (upper right of photo) in the Andover Fabrics booth. It was such a fun fabric collection to work with and this quilt pattern has been a huge success!

This quilt was pieced by Marian Gallian of Pink Hippo Quilts and was designed with Pop Rox fabric by Carol Van Zandt.

You can purchase the Cadence quilt pattern from Pink Hippo Quilts here.

My quilt design "Cottage Garden" is now available as a free download on Andover's website. I designed this quilt for their new fabric line Cologne and Cotton by Renée Nanneman. It's a beautiful vintage inspired fabric line with soft, muted colors. I hope you enjoy it! Send me a link to pics if you make it, I would love to see what you do with it!
