My "Bitty Skullz" collection has arrived in my Spoonflower shop just in time for all your Halloween projects! This fabric would make super cute trick or treat bags!! Check it out at Vetmari on Spoonflower.

An amazing quote from a fashion icon: "Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance." -Coco Chanel

I drew the flowers and leaves, scanned them in and digitally colored them in hues of purples and blues.

Download my new inspirational art print from my Etsy store and print it yourself or buy it printed, framed and ready to go from my Society6 shop.

Look what I got in the mail!! It's always so much fun to see my patterns come to life! These swatches from Spoonflower arrived yesterday, which means you can now buy the "Paris 1930" collection as fabric, wallpaper, decal stickers and wrapping paper!

Ikat Houndstooth Hearts
I just entered the Milk and Honey Spoonflower Design Challenge. Milk and Honey is an online store where you can custom make your own shoes. If you love shoes (and who doesn't?), you'll have a ball playing around making your own creations like I did.

My design is a take on the traditional houndtooth, but I tweaked it to make it look like hearts and added an Ikat look for some added texture. You can view it on Spoonflower here.

You can now find these adorably sweet mini envelopes and princess banner in my Etsy shop! Perfect for little love notes and throwing your little princess the party of her dreams.
Perfect for your teenage skater or Halloween alike, this collection blends tech with goth in an orange and gray palette. I love the detail of the thousands of tiny pixel squares.

Vetmari Spoonflower Kuler Contest design process
From sketch to colors to final design
This week's Spoonflower contest was to design a pattern based on a personalized Kuler color scheme. After coming up with a sketch I really liked, I then chose a photo of this vintage Miller Line packaging to base my color scheme around. I have to admit, I'm kind of hooked on Kuler now! You just bring in your photo and it suggests several color schemes based on your photo from bright to muted to dark—or you can play around and make your own! Once I married the two it was a match made in heaven. It's very masculine with a throw-back vintage vibe from the color inspiration. You can view the fabric on Spoonflower here and vote for it here.
Ella's Garden, Cowboy's Compass and Bonkers for Boys are now available on Pink Hippo Quilt's website. I designed each of these for Riley Blake Fabrics and they were pieced by Marian Gallian.
I was asked to design a theme quilt for Quilt St. George's annual retreat held in January 2014. Their theme for this year is "Where Traditional Meets Modern." I had a good time creating concepts for this one and ended up blending a traditional irish chain motif into a modern design.

I'll also be attending the retreat, so I hope to see you there and you can check out this quilt in person!

Don't these just brighten your day! I designed these two quilts for Andover Fabrics for some of their new lines. The quilt on the left is "Windmills and Wildflowers" for their "Field Day" line and the quilt on the right is "Big Top Baby" for their "Zaza Zoo" line. These patterns will be available soon on Pink Hippo Quilt's website.
